Baan Sammi (บ้านแซมมี) is the name of a property (predominantly residential). It comprises
● Baan Sammi Nature Retreat (บ้านแซมมี เนเจอร์รีทรีต บ้านให้เช่า), a house rental business run by Khun Sam, and
● Bambusetum Baan Sammi (สวนไผ่บ้านแซมมี), a non-commercial bamboo enterprise managed by Khun Dieter.

Baan Sammi Nature Retreat consists of four rental houses in the property's natural settings, and the Bambusetum is an integrated part of the property.

Bambusetum Baan Sammi is a small botanical garden with a living bamboo collection; it has been closed to the general public since 1 March 2022. Visits are still possible, but only by appointment with an exact date and an exact or approximate time. Visitors are still offered cut bamboo culms and bamboo plants grown in the garden, all free of charge. No sale, shipping, or delivery is being offered.

If you want to purchase bamboo plants, you can buy bamboo (plants, poles, seeds) from Mr. Thammarat of the commercial bamboo nursery Boonthammee Bamboo Garden (Boon­thammee Co., Ltd.), Hang Dong, Chiang Mai. Mr. Thammarat offers nation­wide and inter­national delivery of bamboo. Please consider that bamboo plants due for any ship­ment need to be prepared for domestic trans­portation or inter­national delivery.

Another option to buy bamboo plants is the Kham Thiang Market in Chiang Mai. Useful bamboo species, potted in small PVC bags, are available from a shop located at coordinates 18.806658, 98.995720, whereas ornamental bamboo in larger sizes is offered at various shops located within about 200 m around 18.805859, 98.998978.
